In summer 2018 musicians, singers and artists from different regions of Ukraine, Germany, Belarus, Latvia, Poland and Russia came to the Luhansk region in Eastern Ukraine to form a creative team together with local colleagues and friends.

Close to the war region, the international project is intended as a sign of hope for peace and more understanding in the world. The multinational team staged a new opera production in Severodonetsk: Mozart's famous "Don Giovanni".
The premiere was conducted by the German conductor Robin Engelen, the stage director is Thorsten Coelle.

More than 100 people are involved in the process.
Within seven weeks of rehearsals from mid-July until the end of August 2018, guests and locals formed a close community. They felt the power of being part of an international, cross-cultural and multilingual project intended to break down mental and other barriers in our lives.

The project was integrated as much as possible into the local community
and involved as many people as possible to forge new relationships, to share life experiences and to discuss different life views. We organized several events to bring locals and guests together. All these artistic and social endeavors served to fulfill our promise: that Music Overcomes Walls.

On August 28th — September 2nd, 2018, Severodonetsk experienced the splendid premiere of "Don Giovanni" and hosted even more guests from abroad and Ukraine for a four-days festival. We cooperated with several local organizations to offer an inspired program to our guests so that they can explore the Luhansk region and meet its wonderful people.
